Albums like Ice on the Motorway, Solid Senders and Barbed Wire Blues plus regular worldwide touring with his excellent rhythm section of Blockheads Norman Watt-Roy and Monti, have kept Wilko's reputation as one of the hottest and renowned R&B guitarists intact. 17 tracks. Jungle Records.5/5(4).

Feb 03,  · Only got into Dr Feelgood in recent years and seen Wilko Johnson make many appearances at live gigs mainly doing versions of Roxette and She does it right & to be honest the live versions are amazing. I played the 30 second demos on Amazon and have to say I liked every track so I purchased this double CD/5(30).

Wilko Johnson ‎– "Ice On The Motorway" (Fresh Records ‎– FRESH LP4) Wilko's first Solo album was this one, bedecked with classic Wilko pose, and a few Wilko classics; "Bottle Up and Go", "Down By The Waterside" and a ferocious "The Whommy" (Previously heard on "The R&B Sessions-Live at the Hope and Anchor" album).

Wilko Johnson, shooting the bird at death, joins up with Roger Daltrey to rip the roof off a gang of songs selected from Johnson's back catalogue as well as a carefully chosen Dylan cover. It is a terrible cliche to describe someone's guitar as snarling, but that is Wilko Johnson's guitar sound/5(1).
