   This two-disc session is bound to be the final word in the recordings made by The Byrds prior to their signing (and even before adopting that moniker). Earlier collections, PREFLYTE and IN THE BEGINNING, are encompassed here and expanded with still more newly unearthed recordings (16 are previously unissued)/5(10).

   The 2-CD (and double High-Definition Vinyl gatefold LP set) Preflyte Sessions set is filled with 40 World Pacific Studio recordings circa and '65; tracks include all cuts found on the original Together-label Preflyte album, plus unissued and alternate versions from both the acoustic and electric Byrds' sessions, early David Crosby demo.

   Jun 22,  · I dug out Preflyte Sessions last night again. Take three of You Movin caught my ear - Crosby plays great rhythm guitar on that track. Also, the Times They Are A Changin Instrumental is also pretty flawless - along with You Showed Me - these tracks are just stunning.

   "You Showed Me" is a song written by Jim McGuinn (later known as Roger) and Gene Clark of the Byrds in It was recorded by the Turtles and released as a single at the end of , becoming the group's last big hit in the U.S. The song has also been covered by a number of other bands and artists over the years, including the Lightning Seeds, Salt-n-Pepa, and Lutricia McNeal.

   For a start the track listing above is incorrect. CD 1 has 20 track, not 18, the last two being You Showed Me (inst.) and The Times They Are A Changin' (inst.) and CD two only has 28 tracks, You Movin Boston, She Has A Way, You Movin The Reason Why and It's No Use are not on it, I have no idea where this discrepancy comes from/5(28).
