The Man Who is the second studio album by Scottish rock band Travis. The album was released on through Independiente. It saw a change in musical direction for the band, moving away from the rockier tone of their debut album Good Feeling. Four singles were released from the album: "Writing to Reach You", "Driftwood", and the top 10 hits "Why Does It Always Rain on Me?" and "Turn".

Apr 04,  · Product description. Travis ~ The Man Who siwitaloctisennacitatakehe.coinfo As much as one would like to resist the temptation, it is impossible to avoid drawing comparisons between Travis's latest and Radiohead. The Man Who is a great album that stands strong on its own merits and a simple comparison threatens to cheapen it. However, since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, this /5().

Travis' second effort, The Man Who, is a more subdued album than their exuberant debut. Their blustery pop has grown into a textured, almost delicate sound that makes the most of Fran Healy's beautiful, falsetto-friendly voice. At one time, you couldn't mention Travis without also mentioning Oasis.

Jun 29,  · Not sure I'd agree that those two albums are better than The Man Who but I would definitely put them on par, and would agree that fans of the latter should check out both of those later siwitaloctisennacitatakehe.coinfo You Stand is particularly fascinating as the songwriting is spread almost equally across the band, and yet it holds up as a cohesive album with that indelible Travis feel.I didn't even realize how.

Travis seemed to have come to wrap up all those who felt left alone in the cold in the warm and tender embrace of their melancholic indie-pop songs. Most people will argue that this is the band’s definite album. The man who presented a tender and tuneful Scottish sound to the world, which since then has become the band’s trademark. Whenever.

Travis writes pretty and melodic pop songs and occasianally throw in some electric guitar to keep you from falling asleep. I also don't get the popularity of this album in the UK, in the same year that far better albums by James and Blur were somewhat ignored. However, as I started out to say, this album contains a lot of very good songs.
